Co-organized by the University of Taiwan and the TECO Foundation, and under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Ministry of the Environment, the Net Zero Tech International Competition is one of the largest and most influential international events in the field of green energy and net zero technology. In the 2025 Net Zero Tech International Competition, Yuan Ze University's engineering team, with more than 1,100 students and teachers from 230 teams in 11 countries, successfully advanced to the final 40 finalists.

And won the 2nd place in the International Competition - Poca Zero Technology Award!

The objectives of the competition are.

✅Cultivate net-zero technology talents and promote Taiwan as an international exchange and innovation center.

✅The international and Taiwan competitions were held in parallel, attracting teachers and students from universities and colleges all over the world to participate in the event.

✅Establish a cross-disciplinary platform to connect industry, government, academia and research units.

✅Promote net-zero knowledge and raise community consensus on energy sustainability.

An inter-university research team composed of professors from Yuan Ze University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and Mingzhi University of Science and Technology has utilized SONGYO Normal Pressure Plasma (NPP) to coat binary metal oxides on carbon carpets in order to enhance the storage efficiency of batteries. The green process modifies the VRFB battery electrodes as the core and enhances the catalytic efficiency through SongYao's atmospheric pressure plasma technology, demonstrating Taiwan's breakthrough potential in green energy storage and net-zero technology.
